Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026
This policy is about a photograph of a child, so it is written to be read rather than to be defensible. If anything here is unclear, email hello@officialrookie.com and ask.
Your child's photo
Your child's photo is stored privately and used for one thing: making their card. We do not put it in a gallery, an ad, or anywhere public unless you tick a box asking us to. No software changes their face or body; the photo is placed, scaled and cropped, and that is all. Every photograph on this site, on every card we show as an example, is a generated image of somebody who does not exist. No customer and no customer's child appears anywhere on this site, and none of the people in our pictures has said anything about us, because none of them is real.
We delete it 90 days after your order, unless you asked for a player page, in which case we keep it for as long as that page is live and delete it when you take the page down.
This site is for adults and is not directed at children under 13. Only a parent or guardian, or someone they have asked, may upload a photo of a child or type in a child's details. A parent or guardian can ask us at any time to see, fix or remove anything we hold about their child, including the player page, and we will do it whoever placed the order.
What else we hold
- Your email address, to send you the card and to answer you if you write to us.
- What you typed on the card: your child's name, number, team, position, season and any stats you gave us. It is printed on the card, so we keep it while the order exists.
- Your name and delivery address, when something is being mailed.
- How you found us, if you arrived from an ad, so we know which ads are worth running.
Who else sees it
As few people as possible, and each of them for one job:
- Stripe takes the payment. They hold your card details; we never do.
- Vercel runs the site and stores the photo and the print file, privately.
- Resend sends the email with your card in it.
- The printer, once we have one, receives the finished artwork and your address so they can post it. They receive nothing else.
We do not sell anything about you to anybody, and we do not use your child's photo to train anything.
Cookies and measurement
We keep a first-party id so we can tell that the person who clicked an ad is the person who ordered, and we use Mixpanel to count how many people get stuck on which step. If your browser sends a do-not-track signal, or the advertising ids are not configured for a deployment, none of those tags load at all.
Asking us to delete it
Email hello@officialrookie.com and say so. We will delete the photograph, the details and the player page, and confirm when it is done. We keep the record of the sale itself, because tax law requires it, and that record does not contain the photograph.
Changes
If we change this policy we change the date at the top. If a change means we would use a photograph in a way this version does not allow, we ask first.
